MEMBERSHIP Open to all U.S. retirees (military, DoD, etc.), unremarried widows of retirees, and retirees of Allied military services. Associate membership is available to merchant seamen, non-retiree U.S. citizens including those employed on SBFZ, etc. (Associate membership is primarily for use of the RAO Philippine mail service and fax service.) Only U.S. military retirees and their dependents, and unremarried widows of U.S. military retirees and their dependents are authorized to use the FPO.) Since the "R" in the box number means "Retired," resident dependents of active duty personnel are also not authorized to use the FPO.
MEMBERSHIP DUES: Due to the increase of electricity, fuel and other utilities we have no choice but to raise the RAO dues. Commencing 2 Jan 2006 dues will be $5.00 per month or $60.00 per year. However, if you pay now or prior to the end of Jan 2006 you get a two month discount as before or $50.00 per year. We prefer dollars or dollar instruments. If you pay in pesos there will not be a discount. Same as before; if you write a bad check and if I determine it was intentional, RAO will not entertain your membership.
