Subject: HPIC - HVC TRICARE INSURANCE CARDS
During the past two months there has been a great deal of confusion concerning the validity of issued HPIC – HVC TRICARE Insurance Cards. Much of that confusion was generated by a lack of response by management and for that; we are sincerely sorry. The hesitation on the part of management to make a final decision was due to on-going consultations with TRICARE on the one hand and our wanting to limit the financial burden on TRICARE participants on the other hand.
Effective immediately, all HPIC – HVC TRICARE Insurance Cards are invalid, regardless of their current status. It is suggested that these cards be destroyed or turned –in to a HVC/HPIC Representative immediately as they will NOT be honored for any healthcare related services.
All Health Visions Corporation medical facilities in the entire Philippines are being notified telephonically and supplied a hard copy of this letter.
There will be no re-issuing of these plan cards because that past plan is not in compliance with current TRICARE rules and polices.
There has been a great deal of rumors and gossip concerning the “demise” of Health Visions Corporation and Health Plans International Corporation. I can tell you that all of that is categorically FALSE. Health Visions Corporation has and is still going through a re-organization that will make it stronger and even more importantly a complete and totally compliant TRICARE provider organization. Health Plans International Corporation will be issuing a status report letter, of its own, to you within the next few days.
To relieve you of any more stress concerning this matter, I can say that there will be a new TRICARE Supplemental Plan available during the second half of March 2006 which will be cost-effective in its approach and most importantly meet TRICARE compliance.
In closing we look forward to the honor of continuing service of your healthcare needs for many, many years to come.
