The Embassy has received credible information that a terrorist group may be planning to carry out bombing attacks on the island of Mindanao, Philippines over the next several days.  Specifically, attacks may be carried out in cities located within Central Mindanao; although there is no specific targeting information, US citizens should avoid travel to that area.

US citizens living and working in this area are urged to re-assess their personal security and to keep a low profile, avoid venues that cater to westerners and avoid public gathering places to the extent possible.
